How do I reply to an entry?

Since I don't know what your friends page look like, I will show you how to reply to a livejournal entry from the community page.

See that text 'MUSIC BABY'? That's a hyperlink to the comment page. Clicking that link sets up a little box where you type a comment. That comment gets posted to that entry so everyone can read what you have to say.

How do I reply to a comment?

Do you want to respond to someone else's comment? Maybe you want to ask an individual user a question or compliment their icon or respond to them directly. (Replying to comments sends the comment to that LJ user in an e-mail. That way people know that you are talking to them.)

When you see a comment that you'd like to reply to click on that little blue 'Reply to this' link.
Doing so opens up this comment box:

When you're done imparting your words of wisdom, click 'Post Comment' and you've replied to someone! Yay!

How do I edit my post?
Sometimes you'll want to change what you've posted in an entry.
It's not hard! If you've just updated the entry you can click 'View entry'.
If you've already left that page, click on comments link and you've view your entry.

Up at the top of the page you'll see this box! Click on the pencil to edit your entry.

How do I access the memories?

On the community info page click on that Heart icon. That is the memories section. There you can find important or memorable entries. Fun stuff.

How do I change my icon?

Login to your LJ account and go to the Edit Userpics page.

There you can upload SMALL pictures that will be your LJ icon.


If you are at the livejournal.com main page you can hover over Manage and Select Userpics from the menu.

Where can I find pretty icons?

Please don't post in the community begging for icons. There are a million communities (give or take) dedicated to posting icons that people have made. Some even take requests. It's magical!

Search livejournal by INTERESTS and search for 'gwen stefani', 'icons' or whatever keyword you like.
Look through the communities that pop up. You'll find something.

A number of No Doubt/Gwen Stefani fansites also have a gallery of icons to use.
I'm a fan of NoDoubtWeb's icon collection.
If you like a user's icon you can always ask them where they found it. Maybe you'll find a really cool community.

Can I search through LJ entries?

I think that searching through entries is just a paid account thing.
You can search entries using LJseek.com

What is a SKU and why do I want one?

A SKU number is barcode number of a certain item. Stores like Nordstroms can search their computers for a SKU number and tell you if the item you want is in another store. They will ship that item for you. You can get the item shipped to a Nordstrom's store near you (so you can try it on) or shipped straight to your home.
